About the role:

The Software Integration Test Engineer in responsible for integration testing between multiple systems including third party systems and systems developed in house by Sound.

The Details: This is a full-time, remote contract position. Expected need from June 2025 to October 2025.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Knowledge of QA methodology, practices, and different types of testing e.g. integration, functional, regression, data validation, system, end-to-end etc.
  • Fluent in basic test plans and using them to create positive as well as negative test scenarios / cases
  • Delivering commitments within agile sprints and on projects across sprints
  • Exploratory testing
  • API testing with a tool like Postman
  • SQL queries and joins, preferably with SQL Server
  • Identifying gaps or assumptions in requirements and asking clarifying questions

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field or equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • 5 years of software quality assurance / testing experience with at least 2 years focused on system integration testing.
  • 3 years of experience testing on an agile team
  • Experience with healthcare data transfer mechanisms like HL7 feeds (DFT, ADT, MDM etc.) and how to validate them

Pay Range: $70-$90 per hour. Exact pay will be determined based on candidate experience and geographic location.
