SpaceX - Integration Technician (Dragon Final Integration)

Responsibilities:
- Stage, set up, assemble, test, and install flight hardware.
- Perform maintenance tasks in various roles, including fluid systems maintenance, site preventative maintenance, and general facilities maintenance to ensure operational spacecraft processing facilities.
- Use precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.
- Handle both large and small, fragile assemblies during hands-on operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Perform work according to established procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
- Operate various mechanical tools independently.
- Collaborate with Dragon operations engineers to develop and document activities.
- Process crew before spaceflight and upon return to Earth.
- Ensure launch services are performed safely, on time, and professionally.
- Other duties as assigned to maintain an efficient work environment.
- Work with a team to build safe, high-quality vehicles and ground support systems for Dragon spacecraft processing.
- Fabricate fluid systems from schematics or engineering drawings, including ball valves, check valves, pressure regulators, and gauges.
- Fabricate tubing using flare and cone-and-tap fittings.
- Troubleshoot operational issues during activation of fluid and mechanical systems.
- Work with high-pressure systems (up to 10,000 psi).
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in assembly, testing, maintenance, repair, or installation, or a certificate from an accredited trade program.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Airframe & Powerplant license.
- Associate degree in aerospace technology or related field.
- AV1200-4 certification for vehicle and electrical ground support equipment terminations.
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems and vehicle electrical ground support hardware.
- Knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow measurement devices and systems.
- Experience with launch vehicles, human spaceflight, or hardware ocean recovery.
- Experience with hypergolic or hazardous systems.
- Manual dexterity for operating machinery and tools.
- Marine experience is a plus.
- Ability to operate and build testing carts and perform leak checks.
- Experience with forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment.
- Experience in precision cleaning of parts and tubing assemblies.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and reports.
- Adaptability to changing roles in a high-paced environment.
- Ability to perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to pass Space Force background check for Cape Canaveral.
- Willingness to work a shift (e.g., 2nd shift: 4:00 pm - 2:30 am).
- Ability to pass medical qualifications and operate in SAR/SCAPE environments.
- Willingness to work with hypergolic propellants and hazardous materials.
- Capability to lift 25 lbs unassisted.
- Physical ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in outdoor environments.
ITAR Requirements:
- Must meet U.S. export regulations criteria, including citizenship or legal residency status.
