Job summary

PlanIT Group is seeking an experienced M365 Migration Engineer for a USA contract with on-site flexibility and 100% remote options. The role requires recent M365 migration engineering experience, strong Windows OS/Server and AD/EntaID skills, and the ability to work with a distributed team and vendors.

Candidates should be proficient in PowerShell and migration tools such as AvePoint and Bit Titan, with good training/documentation abilities. Travel up to 65% to Canada and the UK is possible.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows OS, Server, and AD/Entra ID.
• M365 Migration and troubleshooting experience.
• PowerShell scripting to extract data from Exchange.
• Experience with virtualization, monitoring systems, and backup/replication.
• End-user training and documentation experience.
• Strong M365 Suite skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, SharePoint, OneNote).
• Experience with migration tools AvePoint, Bit Titan, etc.
• Knowledge of migrating and validating SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams tenant migrations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS/Server/AD-Entra ID.
• Work with a distributed team with minimal direction.
• Communicate effectively with business and IT staff.
• Coordinate with vendors to update email preferences.
• Work with virtualization, monitoring, and backup/replication systems.
• Run PowerShell commands to extract data from Exchange.
• Perform M365 migration and troubleshooting tasks.
• Provide end-user training and documentation.
• SharePoint/OneDrive/Teams tenant migration activities.

Up to 65% travel and some travel to Canada and the UK.
Recent M365 Migration Engineering experience required.
