Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a skilled and experienced manager to lead a high-performance Integration Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the architecture, development, maintenance, and support of the Enterprise Service Platform (ESP). The role includes developing the enterprise integration strategy based on principles of reusability, security, scalability, and quality, leveraging the webMethods and/or Mulesoft Platform.

Responsibilities Include:

• Own and design implementation practices to deliver scalable integration solutions handling large data volumes using webMethods and/or MuleSoft technology.
• Champion the adoption of citizen development to accelerate development, reduce the burden on the core integration team, and enhance business agility.
• Implement governance for the integration platform, including establishing a comprehensive framework for roles, responsibilities, data quality standards, documenting processes, and monitoring system performance.
• Collaborate with senior IT and business leaders to ensure enterprise integration capabilities align with strategic goals.
• Maintain current knowledge of information technology, stay updated on emerging technologies, and evaluate their potential value to the business.
• Lead, mentor, and energize high-performance Integration Services Administrators and Developers across geographies managing the mission-critical Enterprise Service Platform.
• Identify resourcing needs and guide the technical team through multi-phased delivery projects, influencing standards for development, governance, and operational life cycles.
• Provide guidance for defining and refining data integration design, coding, deployment, operational standards, and technology stack.
• Partner with application teams, shared services, core technology peers, and vendors in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting Mulesoft and webMethods solutions.
• Participate in planning production rollouts, ensuring outages are well-coordinated and downtime minimized.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Proven experience managing a Tier 3 or similar technical operations team.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills to assess complex issues, propose solutions, and manage incidents.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills.
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of technical program management experience, totaling 15+ years in IT.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience in developing standards, process improvements, and process management.
• Strong learning capacity for new software tools and technologies.
• Experience with API development, data integration, and understanding of the API lifecycle.
• Extensive vendor management experience.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $120,000 - $204,000

Please note: This range is based on market pay structures. Salaries are influenced by various factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
