Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Framingham, MA seeks an FP&A professional to lead M&S financial readiness for COGS and CM O operations, supporting budgets, forecasts, and month-end close. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting required; MBA/CPA desirable.
• 5+ years in Finance or Accounting with emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Cost accounting experience a plus; manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
• ERP knowledge required (e.g., SAP, Oracle); financial planning software knowledge (e.g., TM1, HFM, Anaplan).

Responsibilities

• Drive M&S financial readiness for COGS and CM O operations during M&A transitions or from R&D.
• Deliver accurate budget and forecast projections while meeting FP&A deadlines.
• Monitor key manufacturing commitments; assess financial impact and build risk mitigation plans.
• Develop robust financial modeling and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
• Build and maintain partnerships with EM&S, finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other stakeholders.
• Perform month-end closing focused on manufacturing variances, opex, inventory, and provisions.
• Lead messages and analytical depth of reporting packages for annual budget, strategic plan, and actual results.
• Ensure accurate and timely submissions in SAP and TM1 by coordinating inputs with central teams.
• Oversee the standard costs process in compliance with policies and CMO contract clauses/pricing; coordinate with hub central teams.
• Monitor inventory to optimize production planning and mitigate losses from obsolescence.
• Identify and track KPIs (cost per gram, P&D, yield performance).
• Maintain internal controls; coordinate with Corporate Accounting, tax, and Transfer Pricing; prepare SOX/audit deliverables.

Main Responsibilities:

• Drive and deliver M&S financial readiness for COGS and investments for CMO operations from M&A or transitioning from R&D; ensure smooth integration without business disruptions.
• Deliver accurate budget and forecast projections while meeting M&S and corporate FP&A deadlines.
• Monitor key contractual manufacturing commitments; assess financial impact (cost deviations) and build risk mitigation plans.
• Develop robust financial modeling and provide financial insights to support strategic decisions.
• Build and maintain partnerships with EM&S, finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other stakeholders.
• Perform month-end closing focused on manufacturing variances (Yield, pricing, overhead, capitalization), opex, inventory, and provisions.
• Lead key messages and analytical depth of reporting packages for annual budget, strategic plan, and actual results.
• Ensure accurate and timely submissions in SAP and TM1 by coordinating inputs with central teams.
• Oversee the standard costs process in compliance with policies and CMO contract clauses/pricing; coordinate with Hub central teams.
• Monitor inventory to optimize production planning and prevent/mitigate losses from excess & obsolescence.
• Identify and track KPIs (e.g., cost per gram, P&D, yield performance).
• Maintain internal controls; coordinate with Corporate Accounting, tax, and Transfer Pricing; prepare SOX/Internal Control/audit deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or CPA desirable.
