Coverbase Inc. is hiring an Integration Engineer to work remotely with customers across the continental United States. You will build API integrations, manage data exchanges, and push small feature upgrades while maintaining robust documentation.

You should be comfortable with SQL, Git, debugging, and a foundation in software engineering. This is a backend-focused role in a fast-growing startup with quarterly in-person gatherings.

We’ve raised $20M from world-class investors and our team of 20 have built important products at Google, Mapbox and Waymo.

We’re hiring our third Integration Engineer to work closely with our customers to get them live on the Coverbase platform.

We care more about slope than y-intercept — formal education or prior domain knowledge is not strictly required, but a fierce can-do attitude and desire to make something of yourself certainly is.

Our team is US-based and fully remote. The team also comes together for a week every quarter at a location within the continental US. We’ll give plenty of notice for these gatherings, and cover flights and accommodation. We expect the whole team to participate.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Customers – Work closely with our customer’s business and engineering teams to gather integration requirements and ensure alignment with their business objectives.

Build API Integrations – Figure out how to get data cleanly from our customers' systems into Coverbase and out again. This includes building and managing APIs and webhooks to enable seamless data exchange and automation across platforms.

Bug Fixes and Feature Upgrades – Push production code to fix bugs and implement small feature upgrades for customers.

Maintain Documentation – Create and maintain technical documentation, including integration designs, data flows, and operational procedures.

Grow and Scale Coverbase – Foster a constructive environment for code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

You’re people-oriented: you enjoy understanding the needs of users and customers and helping them solve problems.

You’re meticulous and organized: you stay on top of action items and priorities, ensuring that the customer onboards onto Coverbase smoothly.

You have the foundational skills of a software engineer down pat: you navigate around your dev environment efficiently, feel confident around SQL and git, give good code reviews, and are seasoned at debugging.

You thrive in a dynamic, early-stage startup environment.

$110K to $160K base depending on experience and ability
