Job summary

Integral Federal, Inc. in Vienna, VA, is seeking an Integration Developer to build, test, and document API and data integrations for VA programs.

You will contribute to modernization by enabling data exchange and ensuring configurations meet VA security and architecture standards. You will configure integrations across dev, test, staging, and production, support ETL/ELT and legacy migrations, and assist with UAT, IV&V, and ISQA testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or an IT-related degree with 7-10 years' experience.
• Experience supporting ETL/ELT, legacy-to-cloud migrations, and cross-system data exchange.
• Experience documenting integration configurations, environment setups, and validation procedures.
• Experience supporting integration testing across unit, functional, system, and performance test cycles.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and contributing to Sprint deliverables.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, SOAP (if applicable), message queues, and microservice integration patterns.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools, database scripting (DDL/DML), and data transformation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and document API and data integrations between VA‑EISS, BOSS‑E, MBMS, and external VA business systems.
• Support ETL/ELT processes, legacy‑to‑modern system transitions, and integration of internal/external data sources.
• Develop scripts for data migrations, environment configuration, and interface implementation.
• Configure integrations across development, test, staging, and production environments, ensuring consistency and proper setup.
• Ensure all integrations are tested in VA‑approved environments at unit, functional, and integration levels before release.
• Support UAT, IV&V, and ISQA testing by providing required integration‑specific data and configuration artifacts.

The Integration Developer builds, tests, and documents API, data, and service integrations for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Product Delivery Services (PDS), Benefits and Memorials (BAM), Memorial and Benefit Services (MBS) deliver secure, reliable, and effective Information Technology (IT) solutions that support the Department’s mission. The above salary range represents a general guideline. Integral Federal considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
