Job summary

A technology mission support company is seeking an Integration & Test Engineer to support government contracts. The successful candidate will develop test plans, collaborate with teams, and ensure software performance standards. A Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience are required, along with an active Secret security clearance. Compensation starts at $125K annually.

Job description

We are a small technology/mission support contractor in the DC Metro area. HQ is in Manassas, VA, TapHere Radio in Evergreen, CO and TapHere Mission Support in Tampa, FL. We are excited about where we are going and are looking for a few good people who want to make the journey with us.

We’re looking for a self-starting, team-oriented Integration & Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in supporting a Government customer. This position will support the test effort for development of the Eglin Radar systems and operations center from program inception to test verification and deployment. The Integration & Test Engineer will define complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities while working with a team comprised of multiple internal organizations and subcontractors for the full integration and test of the mission system. The test engineer will be a point-of-contact for the government customer for test planning and will coordinate across government and stakeholder offices to define the test and evaluation plan.

  • Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on system requirements.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to ensure software performance meets the high standards required for operations.
  • Collaborate with system engineers and software developers to identify system requirements and resolve issues.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
  • Analyze test results, detect issues, and track root causes in collaboration with the development team.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Deliverables: Support deliveries of CDRLs A104 (System Test Report), A132 Detail Test Plan, A133 Test Procedures
Experience Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  • Excellent organization skills
  • Effective communication skills in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficient in Linux and/or Unix operating systems
  • Familiarity with Boundary Scan/LabVIEW/MATLAB/other tools for instrument control
  • Proficient at JIRA/Confluence (or equivalent)
  • Experience in Agile & DevOps methodology and culture
  • Experience with Radar systems
  • Excellent Test Automation
  • MUST HAVE an Active Secret security clearance with the ability obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

Compensation package includes base salary and benefits. Base salary depends on requirements for education/degree, skills, and professional experience. Annualized base salary range for this position is: $125K and up.
