POSITION: Integration Analyst
REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager, Supply Chain and Backend
LOCATION: US - Remote, EST preferred
Headquartered in Los Angeles, CA with an office in New York, NY, Birdy Grey supports remote work for eligible roles. We ask that all employees travel to either office once a quarter. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Birdy Grey is seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Integration Analyst / System Administrator to ensure the daily operational health and seamless data flow across our core e-commerce and fulfillment systems. This role is primarily responsible for the Level 1 administration, support, and maintenance of our ERP (Fulfil), Shopify storefront, WMS, and 3PL connections.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis, Design & Implementation
- Requirement Analysis: Analyze business processes and technical needs across teams (Operations, Finance, Product, Engineering, Platform Operations) to define clear integration requirements for new features and system enhancements
- Solution Design & Mapping: In partnership with the Product Manager, Engineering Manager, and Platform Operations, recommend and design logical integration solutions and perform detailed data mapping between source systems (e.g., PLM, PIM, OMS) and target systems (ERP, WMS) to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Configuration & Deployment: Implement and maintain integration workflows primarily using iPaaS/middleware platforms and system configuration tools
- System Administration & Maintenance: Assist the Product Manager and Engineering Manager with user provisioning, permissions, and routine maintenance tasks within the ERP and connected systems to ensure operational security and stability
II. System Integrity & Troubleshooting
- Monitoring & Support: Proactively monitor the health of all data flows and integrations between Shopify, Fulfil, Aftership, WMS, Master Data, and 3PL + Returns partners
- Troubleshooting & RCA: Own the diagnosis and resolution of complex data flow errors and system issues. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify underlying causes and recommend long-term configuration or design fixes
- API Validation: Perform manual and automated API calls and testing to validate the integrity of data exchange and ensure endpoints are functioning as expected
- Master Data Management: Support the management and synchronization of product master data across all integrated platforms in concert with the Platform Operations team
III. Testing & Documentation
- Integration Testing: Design and execute detailed test cases (manual and automated) to validate the effectiveness and integrity of all integration solutions before deployment
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including integration specifications, data flow diagrams, test plans, and runbooks for common system issues
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree Required
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years experience in an Integration Analyst, Technical Support Engineer, Systems Administrator, or a similar role focused on application and data integration
- Deep expertise in configuring, monitoring, and managing integrations within iPaaS systems (e.g., Zapier, Make, n8n, Celigo, etc.)
- Strong working knowledge of e-commerce platforms (ideally Shopify Plus), ERPs (Fulfil/NetSuite preferred), and WMS systems
- Experience working with REST/GraphQL APIs, JSON, and API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
- Proficiency with query languages (SQL) for data extraction, analysis, and validation. Solid understanding of data mapping and ETL/ELT concepts.
- Proficiency with low code/automation tools (e.g., Airtable, Retool)
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python or Node) for minor automation or data transformation tasks
- Proficiency with git and version control
- Proven ability to analyze complex data flows, troubleshoot issues to the root cause, and propose effective, long-lasting solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting specifications and communicating technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
