Qualifications

General Information:
Facilities Management Department is accepting applications for an Integrated Waste Management Operator II in the Recycling Department. The shift is Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with altered hours during summer and overtime.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follow pre-established routes for pickup of recyclable, reusable, and waste materials from campus locations.
  • Transport materials to recycling facilities.
  • Maintain fluids in equipment and vehicles.
  • Keep appropriate records.
  • Work during all home football games.
  • Work is essential to university operations; required during authorized closings.

  • Ability to maneuver various trucks and equipment in close quarters.
  • Ability to maintain and lubricate equipment.
  • Operate trash compactors, balers, forklifts, and conveyors.
  • Lift 30-80 pounds repeatedly.
  • Operate vehicles safely.
  • Work independently and provide excellent customer service.
  • Distinguish and sort recyclables and waste, including items with blood-borne pathogens.
  • Must be at least 19 years old with a valid driver's license for at least 24 months.
  • Must possess a valid CDL Class B Driver's License upon hire.
