Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking a Finished Goods Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse team and drive safety, efficiency, and inventory accuracy. You will manage 50-60 associates across finished goods, raw materials, and reels; partner with production and logistics; and foster a high-performance culture while ensuring OSHA-compliant safety practices and precise cycle counts.

This role requires flexibility for off-hours and weekends in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3 years of experience in a large, high-volume warehouse with leadership experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Must have strong SAP knowledge and inventory control experience.
• Overtime may be required.
• Strong understanding of automation in Parent Reel and Finished Goods Storage.
• Internal candidates must be in a coordinator, lead position and level 5 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and develop 50–60 associates (finished goods, raw materials, pulp, and parent reels).
• Support 24/7 operations and be willing to work off hours, including late nights and weekends.
• Identify inventory discrepancies and assist in monthly/quarterly cycle counts.
• Partner with converting and paper machine supervisors to align daily needs and improve shipping/receiving/storage.
• Develop relationships with resources (traffic, customer service, planners) and communicate needs.
• Monitor, improve, and control operations while minimizing demurrage.
• Demonstrate understanding of the supply chain and its impact on Sofidel America.
• Strategically shift associates between sites to meet daily workloads and minimize overtime.
• Lead daily/weekly communication with scheduling and planners to optimize warehouse space.
• Create processes to deliver zero-reject rolls to converting lines.
• Ensure timely receipt of goods for inventory accuracy.
• Enforce mill safety policies and OSHA compliance.
• Investigate GSTD issues and close out actions.
• Daily safety evaluation of employees.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and accountability.

The Finished Goods Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing the warehouse materials, staff, and overhead expenses. Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading, training, and developing 50-60 associates (finished goods, raw materials, pulp, and parent reels). Available to support 24/7 operation. Must be willing to work off hours when needed. At times will require late nights and weekends.
• to identify inventory discrepancies and assist in monthly and quarterly cycle counts. (Inventories may be scheduled on the weekends, and the end of year inventory is the second Saturday of December)
• Partner with converting and paper machine supervisors to ensure alignment of daily needs, internal and external, while continuously aiding in the improvement processes and efficiencies of shipping, receiving, and storage of parent reels, and finished goods.
• Develop a relationship with resources (i.e. traffic, customer service, planners, etc...) and ensure timely communication of needs and or watchouts that impacts the operations.
• Responsible for monitoring, improving, and controlling the operation while minimizing demurrage.
• Effectively demonstrate an understanding of the supply chain and how it impacts Sofidel America as a whole.
• Ability to strategically and effectively shift associates between sites to support daily work volumes while minimizing overtime to accomplish goals.
• Responsible for leading daily/weekly communication with paper scheduling and planners to optimize warehouse space capacity based on forecast and departmental needs.
• Demonstrates an adaptive mindset that actively identifies and modified status - to positively impact outcomes with new approaches.
• Create a process that delivers zero reject rolls to converting lines.
• Ensure goods are received in a timely manner to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Understands and enforces mill safety policies/procedures. Ensures all associate are aware of and adhere to safety policies procedures in compliance to OSHA rules and regulations.
• Investigates and rectifies Go, See, Think, Do (GSTDs) through completion.
• Perform daily safety evaluation of employees
• Maintains a clean work environment conducive to safe work habits and encourages employee accountability.
