Effective in summer 2025, the Integrated Therapy Unit (ITU) will be relocated to our Children’s Health Plano campus. New hires must be committed to working at our current Dallas campus location until the transition to Plano is complete.

Summary:
The purpose of the Patient Care Technician is to assist the nurse and respiratory therapist in patient care delivery for patients ranging from zero to 18 years old, and assist in managing the customer service experience during the patient stay within the organization.
Responsibilities:
WORK EXPERIENCE:
* If a student, must be actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
* If not a student, 1 year of experience as a CNA, EMT, or Medical Assistant is strongly preferred.
EDUCATION:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* For non-nursing students, completion of a certified nurse assistant training, basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic or Medical Assistant program or equivalent required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements required.
