Eaton’s MSD division is seeking an Integrated Product Team Director (IPT Lead) to define and execute portfolio strategy, develop annual business plans, and manage the business to meet or exceed the plan while aligning with customer needs at the Orchard Park, NY site.

The role oversees end-to-end product lifecycle, from opportunity identification through sun-setting, driving revenue, profit, and cash while engaging with customers to align roadmaps and deliver differentiated products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience, within a manufacturing, operations, supply chain, engineering, sales or program management environment.
• Export control and U.S. Government export regulations require a U.S. person (citizen, permanent resident, etc.).

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Integrated Program Team (IPT) Lead to lead our Life Support product group. This role is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Job Summary

Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking an Integrated Program Team (IPT) Director. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY location. Within the MSD Business structure there are 8+ Value Streams or Integrated Product Teams. Internally, we refer to this position as an Integrated Product Team Director. However, this position better aligns with what the marketplace calls a Value Stream Manager. This role will be responsible for defining and executing portfolio strategy, developing the annual business plan and associated investment strategy, and managing the business to meet or exceed the plan while meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Key elements of the business plan include orders, sales, inventory, profit, cash, internal research and development, indirect expenses, and staff utilization. The role identifies and manages the strategy to drive the assigned portfolio of products and programs through the full life cycle (opportunity identification through sun-setting or replacement). The goal is to provide the focus required to maximize revenue, profit and cash for the product line in both the near-term and planning horizon by owning the product strategy, driving program execution and leveraging technologies and know-how to create highly differentiated products that meet both current and adjacent market needs. This includes actively engaging with the customer base to anticipate their requirements, align to their road maps, and ultimately, ensure that a well-articulated strategy and value proposition is available to all stakeholders. This includes serving as “the voice of the customer” inside the factory, to internally extend the value proposition. This role will operate within a matrix organization and be required to work horizontally, collaborating with functions and other Product Lines to deliver on commitments.

What You’ll Do

Job Responsibilities

• Accountable for the IPT’s performance and execution against budgeted positions including but not limited to safety, quality, delivery, sales, profit, inventory, CAPEX, etc.
• Indirectly manage Cabinet of functional representatives within the IPT to achieve KPIs and associated goals.
• Alignment of technology investments & CAPEX with product needs for current and future product developments through close coordination with: BD & Sales; key customers; and Engineering.
• Driving all aspects of program and proposal performance through indirect management of the Program Management team and or the Operations function for the assigned product lines.
• Coordination with functional organizations to support resource requirements throughout the IPT.
• Responsiveness to key customers including escalations and priority requirements.
• Maximizing profit and cash conversion by achieving or exceeding key business measures, including budgeted gross margin for the assigned product lines, inventory turns, program execution measures.
• Strategic support of New Product Introduction (NPI) business cases.
• Contributing to each element of the product portfolio lifecycle including identifying new opportunities in line with market needs; developing the business case for new products/opportunities; phase appropriate pricing; program execution; product field support; next generation technology offerings.
• Contributing to the product line’s internal business strategy, including market analysis, product and technology roadmaps, and other market assessment tasks.
• Responsible for creation of and execution against Business Plans in monthly, yearly, and long term planning cycles.
• Championing change and thought leadership.
• Works with Functional Leaders, Business Development, Operations, etc. to develop shared goals that support this role’s accountabilities.
• Serve as a member of the site’s extended leadership team.

Preferred Qualifications
