Job summary

Essentia Health Wahpeton Clinic in Wahpeton, ND is seeking a Doctoral level Psychologist to join our integrated primary care team. This full-time psychology position focuses on expanding access to mental health and support services within a collaborative environment. You will work 8 a.m.

Qualifications

• Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.
• Ability to work through brief client contacts and perform quick, accurate clinical assessments.
• Comfortable with pace of primary care, interdisciplinary team, strong communication skills.
• Ability to design and implement clinical pathways and protocols for chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assists the primary care provider in recognizing, treating, and managing mental health and psychosocial issues as part of the primary care team.
• Conducts client intake, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations, and makes treatment recommendations.
• Provides consultation and training to primary care providers to improve treatment of mental health problems.
• Documents progress and diagnostic information in the chart and EMR, with timely feedback to the care team.
• Supports community functioning by assisting with public benefits, housing, and related services.
