Position Overview
Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Lead Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) Specialist to support the Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD)/ Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC-3) team in Huntsville, AL.
The Integrated Planning & Scheduling Specialist will lead the integration across multiple contracts in the PAC-3 program, overseeing all aspects of IP&S activities to provide actionable, value-added products to customers.
Responsibilities
For Senior Level (Level 4):
- Lead, develop, coordinate, analyze, and maintain integrated plans and schedules for complex projects and programs.
- Conduct studies/analysis, report, assess risks, and determine impacts involving product development, production, and process improvements.
- Identify risks and opportunities, develop mitigation strategies, and refine business cases.
- Develop and establish lead time requirements.
- Facilitate integration of project plans, schedules, change, and baseline management using industry best practices.
- Act as primary contact to establish stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
- Manage all project phases from inception to completion.
- Coordinate commitments with stakeholders to fulfill strategies.
- Develop initial planning products, maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and manage change requests.
- Lead program initiatives to improve execution and provide performance reporting.
- Train, coach, mentor, and lead lower-level employees.
- Lead/Chair Brown Room and Green Room activities.
- Communicate effectively with technical personnel across functions.
For Lead Level (Level 5):
- Oversee and develop highly complex project schedules and plans.
- Conduct high-level studies, determine scope, and oversee planning requests.
- Develop strategies for plan and schedule integration, recommending industry best practices.
- Establish stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
- Authorize resource commitments and oversee deployment of recommendations.
- Develop initial planning products, maintain the IMS, and manage change.
- Lead initiatives to enhance program execution.
- Ensure alignment of schedules with other key program plans.
- Assess schedule risk, identify opportunities, and provide performance reports.
- Provide training and leadership to team members.
- Lead/Chair key integration activities and simplify complex processes.
- Communicate with technical teams to evaluate issues impacting deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- 8+ years of experience in developing and maintaining resource-loaded project schedules using tools such as MS Project, Primavera, etc.
- Knowledge of scheduling practices, Earned Value Management (EVM), and related regulations.
- Experience with project management tools and establishing partnerships with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, and project management best practices.
- Self-starter with ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with IBR processes.
Additional Information:
- Travel up to 10%.
- Competitive pay range: Senior (Level 4): $107,950 - $146,050; Lead (Level 5): $132,600 – $179,400.
