Job summary

University of Virginia Health System is seeking a full-time faculty psychologist in Pediatric Psychology and Behavioral Health to provide integrated behavioral health services within general pediatrics at UVA Health Children's clinics in Charlottesville, VA.

The new faculty member will collaborate with pediatricians and psychologists; conduct screening and assessments; deliver brief behavioral health interventions; provide interprofessional consultation; and participate in teaching and committee

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD from an APA‑accredited program completed with internship.
• Licensed or license‑eligible in Virginia.
• Training in clinical child and pediatric psychology; post‑doc in pediatric integrated primary care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with psychologists and pediatricians to develop integrated primary care programs.
• Screen and assess mental health concerns in primary care settings.
• Provide brief targeted behavioral health interventions in primary care.
• Provide consultation to medical and interprofessional teams.
• Teach medical fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Participate in departmental and health system committees and continuing education offerings.
