Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business administration or healthcare field.
• Experience in admissions, bed control, dispatch or transport preferred.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates IOC activities on assigned shift reflecting MLH philosophy and objectives.
• Acts as liaison to hospitals and service lines per policies and procedures.
• Maintains awareness of bed placement across system to support flow.
• Promotes information flow within IOC, admissions, nursing units, and teams.
• Troubleshoots issues affecting center or patient logistics for timely action.
• Assesses current patient flow and makes recommendations.
• Supports Patient Transfer Coordinator, Dispatch, Security when needed.
• Collaborates with Workforce Management to prioritize staffing.
• Oversees patient placement ensuring safety; documents and reports events.
• Provides advanced clinical and critical thinking; participates in monthly audits.
• Participates in On-Call rotation.
