Job summary

Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) Head Start and Children’s Services seeks an Intervention Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and training to local program staff and families on the integration of disabilities and mental health components. This role emphasizes collaboration, documentation, and compliance with federal and state policies.

The specialist will coordinate referrals, support staff in developing IFSPs/IEPs, and promote inclusive, community-based services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, with relevant experience preferred.
  • One course in special education/early childhood mental health is required or strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide integrated support and services to staff and families.
  • Train staff on disabilities and mental health integration; support IEP/IFSP processes.
  • Coordinate referrals and monitor services to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support transitions and engagement with community resources and partners.
