This is a full-time remote position, but we are looking for clinicians who are licensed, or willing to get licensed, in MA!

Summary:

The Intake Therapist plays a vital role in Guidelight Health’s mission to provide compassionate, individualized mental health care. As the first point of contact for potential new clients, you will conduct in-depth biopsychosocial assessments to understand their unique needs, guiding them to the right level of care. Through thoughtful evaluation and communication, you will facilitate a seamless transition into treatment, setting the foundation for meaningful progress. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the clinical team, communicating relevant information about new admissions and ensuring seamless coordination.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough biopsychosocial intake assessments to evaluate client needs, strengths, and readiness for treatment.
  2. Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients, creating a welcoming and supportive introduction to Guidelight Health.
  3. Determine the most appropriate level of care for each client, ensuring alignment with their clinical needs and treatment goals.
  4. Clearly and compassionately communicate program expectations, treatment options, and next steps to clients and their families.
  5. Collaborate closely with the clinical treatment team, providing detailed assessment findings to support individualized care planning.
  6. Identify potential barriers to treatment engagement and work with clients and families to address concerns.
  7. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of all assessments, recommendations, and communications.
  8. Stay informed on best practices in intake assessment and client engagement to continuously enhance the admissions process.
Qualifications:
  1. Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related field.
  2. Valid state licensure as a Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent.
  3. Experience in behavioral therapy and counseling.
  4. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various software programs.
  7. A proactive, compassionate attitude towards client care.
