Position Summary
Are you passionate about helping people take the first step toward recovery? Team Recovery is seeking an Intake & Assessment Therapist to conduct clinical assessments, identify treatment needs, and help individuals access the appropriate level of substance use disorder care.
As an important part of our clinical team, you'll help individuals navigate the admission process while collaborating with medical, clinical, and administrative staff to support safe and appropriate transitions into treatment.
What's the Schedule?
Three 12 hour shifts per week, one weekend per month
What You'll Do
- Conduct clinical and diagnostic assessments to evaluate presenting concerns, substance use history, mental health needs, risk factors, and appropriate levels of care.
- Develop and initiate individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and clinical recommendations.
- Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation for all services provided.
- Identify safety concerns, conduct risk assessments, and assist with safety planning within the scope of practice.
- Respond to crises, support de-escalation, and coordinate with appropriate emergency personnel when necessary.
- Collaborate with clinical, medical, and administrative teams to facilitate admissions and continuity of care.
- Help maintain a safe, supportive, and professional environment for clients and staff.
- Participate in required training, departmental meetings, and company initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support the treatment team.
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral science, or a related field, consistent with applicable licensure requirements.
- Current Licensed Social Worker (LSW) license.
- Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
- Knowledge of behavioral health and substance use disorders, including related symptoms, risk factors, and treatment needs.
- Strong communication, organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and eligibility for coverage under Team Recovery's insurance carrier.
- Must meet the position's minimum age requirement of 21.
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Independent clinical licensure, such as LISW or LPCC, where applicable.
- Experience in clinical assessments, substance use disorder treatment, crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems.
- Knowledge of substance-related emergencies, overdose response, and withdrawal symptoms.
CPR/BLS certification is required or must be obtained through training provided after hire, as applicable.
