The Intake Specialist (Inbound) - Remote role involves directly communicating with patients and their families to determine their needs, medical history, physical and mental state, and special requirements. The role follows an 8am-5pm CT schedule.

Your Impact

1. Promotes the values of Hanger
2. Receives incoming calls from patients and schedules various appointment types for multiple locations
3. Communicates professionally with patients
4. Documents and confirms requested appointments
5. Provides excellent customer service
6. Determines the most appropriate location, clinician, and appointment type needed for the patient
7. Manages incoming faxes from referral sources
8. Triages and routes general inquiry calls
9. Contacts patients for no-shows/rescheduled appointments

Required Minimum Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
• Good fit for the role as determined by a skills assessment, which Hanger will administer

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with EMR systems (NextGen)
• Spanish speaking ability
• DME/Orthotic knowledge

• Proficient in Windows-based office technologies, Outlook, and billing systems

Pay range: $17.75 to $23.40/hour + benefits + annual bonus (up to 5%).
