Overview

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. CompassHealth Center provides crisis-level mental health support for depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles to help patients live freely.

About This Role

As an Intake Specialist, you will be a key point of contact for our patients and play a vital role in the intake and patient admission process. If you are passionate about providing patients with exemplary care while being sensitive to their individual psychiatric condition, you would be a great addition to our team.

Training and Hours

Training Schedule: This position is remote but requires onsite training for up to 4 weeks at our Northbrook facility.

Hours/Schedule: Sunday - Thursday; Sunday 12:30pm - 8:30pm CT, Monday - Thursday 1:30pm - 9:30pm CT.

What You'll Do
  • Answer incoming patient and parent phone calls and respond to messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Explain Compass programs to patients.
  • Schedule appointments for new and existing patients and complete screenings for potential patients.
  • Obtain detailed, confidential patient demographic and insurance information in preparation for intake.
  • Enter patient information into the system and perform various administrative tasks (scanning, emailing, faxing, mailing documents).
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Prior administrative, customer service, or scheduling experience.
  • Medical/insurance office experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrates compassion and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient situations.
  • Organized and detail-oriented; capable of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Can support patients during the following hours: Sunday 12:30pm - 8:30pm CT, Monday - Thursday 1:30pm - 9:30pm CT.
  • This role is fully remote (except for the training period). Location preference is Illinois, Maryland, Washington DC, or Virginia to align with patient locations.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $19 - $23 USD per hour. We offer a fair and equitable work environment. For eligible positions, benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision plans, 401k with company matching, generous PTO (including competitive parental leave after 1 year), and CEU/seminar opportunities.
