Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Directly support the client intake process by answering phone calls, recording necessary information, and entering data into the case management system
  • Review online service applications, call potential clients, follow scripts, and refer clients to the appropriate practice group or provide self-help materials
  • Enter case data and contribute to required compliance reporting
  • Meet with walk-in applicants and facilitate and process applications
  • Respond to applicant and client requests via phone, text, and other channels
  • File documents at court
  • Periodically support the reception desk by answering calls, greeting guests, interacting with vendors and clients, and maintaining a welcoming office environment
  • Provide support services for attorneys, including sending requested packets and returning calls to former clients
  • Collaborate with staff to achieve organizational goals
  • Handle general office work, including incoming and outgoing mail, copying, and sending client information

  • Prior Legal Aid or related work experience a plus, but not required
  • Must be able to work in-office during the first few weeks of employment for training
  • Some travel to the courthouse and other offsite locations may be required
