POSITION: Intake Services Coordinator
STATUS: Full Time; 40 hours / week
SCHEDULE / HOURS: Monday through Friday; 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
LOCATION: Pittsburgh (South Side)
SALARY / WAGES: $18 - $18.50
Allegheny Children’s Initiative, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a non-profit organization that provides mental and behavioral health community-based services to children, adolescents and families throughout Allegheny County. Based in Pittsburgh’s South Side, we provide Intensive Behavioral Health Services, Service Coordination, Student Assistance, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Family Based Mental Health programs. ACI has earned certification from the Council On Accreditation.
Responsibilities
The Intake Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating intake functions for all programs. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Explain the general nature, goals, and policies of ACI services and programs to callers. The Intake Services Coordinator will have an operational awareness of all program rules, policies, and procedures and be able to educate callers about them as necessary.
- Assist callers to identify, link, access, and coordinate resources outside of what ACI provides if necessary
- Ensure completion of the required intake paperwork, including all referral forms, pre-certifications, tracking logs. Intake Services Coordinator will assist in the completion of the referral documentation if necessary, including gathering pertinent consumer needs/concerns and collaborating with other professionals to gather pertinent historical data, prior treatment records, and evaluations.
- Work closely and collaboratively with Program Directors as well as external SC’s and ASC’s or other system representatives to maintain and share updated information regarding program capacities and vacancies in order insure timely access to ACI programs
- Maintain liaisons with community agencies including MCO, MH/ID, CYF and other professionals serving the needs of children and families to develop an ongoing and reciprocal referral system by which consumers and families may enter treatment or be assessed and referred to another more appropriate treatment source as deemed necessary following the initial intake assessment or referrals can be linked and coordinated with the appropriate ACI services.
- Coordinate and attend marketing events and community outreach for ACI programs.
- Ensure electronic health record is maintained with all information obtained from referral form, as well as any updated information
- Verify all open consumers insurance daily using EVS. Review the consumers who are not eligible for Medical Assistance and communicate that information to the appropriate directors and staff working with the family
- Maintain strict compliance with all ACI Personnel and Departmental Policies and Procedures, State Regulations, MCO requirements and COA Standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- (Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or other Human Services field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of two years’ experience; preferably in the areas of child/adolescent and family mental health services.
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Use of personal vehicle required
- Act 33 / 34 and FBI clearances required
Minimum Compensation
USD $18.00/Hr.
Maximum Compensation
USD $18.50/Hr.
