Job summary

Qualifications

• RN licensure as required by state or compact state.
• Experience in mental health admissions or similar settings is preferred.
• Strong interviewing and assessment capabilities.
• Experience with managed care pre-certification and level-of-care assessments.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate admissions and initial evaluation for incoming patients.
• Coordinate with medical, psychiatric, and nursing staff to determine admission and level of care.
• Assist with Call Center duties: answer phones, process admissions, verify insurance, and assist with pre-certifications during high volume.
• Gather admission documentation and secure pre-authorization for treatment.
• Document medical necessity and coordinate orders and DSM-V diagnoses with physicians.
