The Access Center Intake Nurse (RN) is responsible for facilitating requests for services, resource referral, assessing patient/family clinical needs, and interfacing with managed care organizations, external reviewers, payers, insurance precertification, and crisis calls to St. Francis ERs. This role involves conducting nursing assessments and ensuring minimal delays from admission to the floor. The nurse will also serve as a backup for the floor and intake departments, acting as a bridge between intake and nursing staff.
