Arbour Hospital in Boston is seeking an Admissions RN for a night shift (7pm–7am), 36 hours per week. The role coordinates admissions, verifies insurance, triages patients, and serves as a liaison among referral sources, families, physicians, and hospital staff.

We value patients first, ongoing growth, and teamwork. MA RN licensure and psychiatric care experience are preferred; Bachelor's degree is recommended for advanced roles within UHS network.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) in state of Massachusetts.
• Education: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care.
• Ability to multi-task and demonstrate critical thinking; strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) in state of Massachusetts
• Education: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor Degree preferred
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.
• Other: Excellent communication skills, i.e., verbal and written. Ability to prioritize; work well under periods of high stress and pressure. Ability to multi-task and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Demonstrates an understanding of funding entities. Thorough knowledge of psychiatric services provided by the hospital. Ability to work flexible hours. Requires a basic understanding of computers; and accurate data entry skills. Knowledge of insurance contracts and payors. Knowledge of precertification for inpatient hospitalization. Experience gathering and documenting medical and clinical information to assess and staff appropriately with physician. Ability to triage for medical and psychiatric needs. Excellent customer service skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, patients, visitors, families and referral sources.
