Hendricks Behavioral Hospital in Plainfield, IN is seeking an experienced Intake Assessment Clinician (RN) to join our team. This PRN role covers 7P-7:30A with compensation of $40.00–$53.00 hourly, reflecting the acute psychiatric setting and admission workflow.

The ideal candidate holds an Indiana RN license and a nursing degree, plus experience in intake assessment and familiarity with DSM, Mental Status Exam, and addiction treatment concepts.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and Indiana RN licensure required.
• Working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam.
• Familiarity with Addiction and Recovery field; CPI and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document and process inquiry calls per Intake policies.
• Assess and stabilize patients before discharge or arrange admission.
• Notify and assist on-call doctor with patient interviews.
• Obtain administrative approval for admissions.
• Complete admission paperwork per hospital policy.
• Maintain an intake log with required information.
• Follow up with no-show appointments.
• Provide counseling and training support to employees when needed.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Assessment Clinician to join our team at Hendricks Behavioral Hospital!

• Document and process inquiry calls according to Intake policies.
• Assess and stabilize patients before discharge or arrange hospital admission.
• Notify and assist the on-call doctor with patient interviews.
• Obtain administrative approval for all admissions.
• Complete admission paperwork following hospital policy.
• Maintain an intake log with all necessary information documented.
• Make follow-up calls to patients who fail to show up for appointments.
• Demonstrate guest relations by example and provide counseling to employees in need of training.

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

• Education & Licensure: A nursing degree from an accredited school. Licensed to practice in the State of Indiana as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience: Experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting, preferred.
• Additional Skill Requirements: A working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam and working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field. CPI and CPR certified.

Compensation:
