Preferred Behavioral Health Of New Jersey in Somerville, NJ is seeking a Full Time Counselor Aide for the CPSAI program at Office 92 East Main Street Suite 101. The Counselor Aide receives and schedules referrals for DCP&P involved adults and keeps the office calendar organized, completing paperwork with clients and maintaining required logs.

The Counselor Aide works in a supportive role to the Assessment Counselor, assists with random urine drug screens, and may conduct home visits or transport

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma
• License: Valid NJ Driver's License in good standing
• Addictions knowledge preferred, experience in behavioral health settings is a plus

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the referral process, receive and schedule incoming referrals
• Collect urine drug screens in accordance with Chain of Custody procedure
• Conduct home visits as needed and complete chain of custody drug screens
• Transport clients as instructed and responsible for maintaining the vehicle
• Proficient communication—written and verbal
• Highly organized
