Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a detainee intake coordinator to manage the receiving, booking and records for newly arriving detainees.

You will oversee custody and protection of detainees and supervise staff in the intake area, ensuring policies are followed and records are accurate. The role requires strong supervisory capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication, and meticulous record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in behavioral sciences or related field preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in a correctional setting, with supervisory capabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally; maintain records and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for development, coordination and maintenance of intake records for newly arriving detainees/inmates.
• Oversee custody, care and control of detainees/inmates and enforce policies.
• Direct the work of count room staff and other employees; supervise intake area.
• Prepare reports and maintain daily logs; perform other duties as assigned.
