Job summary

Austin Pets Alive! is seeking an Intake and Services Coordinator at the PAWS Kyle location to advance lifesaving goals through efficient intake logistics and community pet support services.

You will be the primary contact for the public seeking help and coordinate animals entering the shelter while maintaining strong partnerships with community and animal welfare partners. Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful support to people and agencies seeking pets help.
• Coordinate intake of dogs and cats, including surrenders and transfers, per policies.
• Ensure accurate data entry in shelter software and animal profiles.
• Communicate clearly with people and organizations about intake.
• Identify bottlenecks and develop practical process improvements for lifesaving.
• Build and maintain partnerships with shelters, rescue groups, and veterinary providers.
• Coordinate community pet retention programs per APA! guidelines.
• Engage and onboard volunteers, creating an inclusive environment.
