Job summary

State of South Carolina is hiring a Mental Health Professional I / Intake for the Office of Mental Health in Lancaster. The role provides clinical services to adults and families, including crisis intervention, in clinic, home, or community settings.

Under supervision, you will coordinate care, manage referrals, and participate in Treatment Team meetings while pursuing ongoing education. A Master’s in counseling is required and licensure within 3 years is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences.
• Experience in a clinical counseling program is required.
• Must be licensed or eligible for full licensure within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide medically necessary clinical services including assessment, individual, family and group therapy, and crisis intervention.
• Perform case management including referrals, advocacy, interagency staffings, and coordinating care.
• Formulate recovery-based care plans with person-centered goals and maintain documentation.
• Participate in Treatment Team meetings and pursue continuing education while engaging with community agencies.
