Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is seeking an Intake Counselor for Brentwood Hospital in Shreveport, LA.
You will assess patient needs, facilitate admissions, and maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree in a Human Service field or an RN with Louisiana licensure and have 1–2 years of psychiatric health care experience.

Education: Master’s Degree in Human Service field (e.g. Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc.), or RN - preferably BSN.
Licensure/Certification: Licensed Louisiana RN, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, PLPC preferred.
Experience: 1-2years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.
Schedule: Determined by the Director of Intake
