Responsibilities

As an Intake Coordinator, Non-Clinical, you will be responsible for the timely entry of home health referrals including the review and communication with care center and business development staff for patients referred to Amedisys Home Health.

  • Demonstrates organizational skills within a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Completes work with accuracy and within assigned time frames.
  • Strong computer skills and adaptability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Time Management and organization skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Possesses understanding of payor information.
  • Requires minimal supervision and is self-directed.
  • Adheres to company infection control and safety policies, including education, reporting and practice implementation specific to job position.
  • Develops cooperation and collaborative work efforts that generally benefit all involved parties.
  • Demonstrates the initiative to meet the needs of the organization by assisting co-workers when workload permits.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures and is flexible to changes in duties and responsibilities.
  • Possesses strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, presentation, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Two years of administrative experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Reliable internet service and ability to work from home with minimal disruption to the workday.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred
  • Home health or hospice intake experience.
  • Homecare home base experience.
