Qualifications

• MSW with LMSW in Michigan licensed status required or RN with BSN in Michigan.
• 1–3 years of mental health service experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Obtain initial clinical information and relay to on-call physician to determine admission level.
• Schedule clinical evaluations when appropriate and coordinate admission process with physician.
• Provide information to clients, families and referral sources regarding treatment options and admission procedures.

Description: The Intake Clinician obtains initial clinical phone information which is communicated to the physician on call to make a final decision regarding admission. The Clinician may also schedule a clinical evaluation if appropriate for the client and contacts the physician who will make decision for the appropriate level of care: inpatient, day treatment or outpatient care. He/she will facilitate this process by assisting the client, family and referral sources. Clinician also provides information to clients, families and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance and admission procedures.

Qualifications

• MSW with Michigan LMSW (fully licensed) or Associates in Nursing or BSN with Michigan RN license
• At least 1 to 3 years of experience providing mental health services, preferably in a psychiatric hospital.

Work Hours: This part-time day shift position that consists of two (2) 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
