Job summary

BHcare seeks an Intake & Crisis Intervention Clinician to help individuals access behavioral health services, navigate crises, and begin recovery. You will perform intake assessments, coordinate care, and deliver direct clinical services within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes crisis response, treatment planning, and collaboration with hospitals and community partners to ensure positive client outcomes. A master’s degree and CT licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.
• CT licensure required; LCSW or LPC strongly preferred; LMSWs or LPCAs considered.
• Experience with behavioral health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and determine appropriate levels of care.
• Provide crisis intervention, including assessment, triage, safety planning, and coordination with hospitals and community providers.
• Deliver direct clinical services and care coordination to support individualized recovery goals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, treatment plans, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and community partners to ensure continuity of care.

You'll work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team while making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.What You'll Do:- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, determine appropriate levels of care, and connect individuals with needed treatment and support services.- Provide crisis intervention services, including assessment, triage, safety planning, and coordination with hospitals, emergency departments, and community providers.- Deliver direct clinical services and care coordination, helping clients develop and achieve individualized recovery goals.- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, treatment plans, insurance authorizations, and regulatory requirements.- Collaborate with clinical teams and community partners to ensure continuity of care and support positive client outcomes.What You’ll Bring:- Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field required; PhD or PsyD candidates are also encouraged to apply.- Connecticut licensure required; LCSW or LPC strongly preferred. LMSWs or LPCAs pursuing clinical licensure and other licensed behavioral health professionals will also be considered.- Experience conducting assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and behavioral health treatment planning.- Knowledge of mental health, substance use treatment, recovery-oriented care, and community resources.- Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and relationship-building skills.-Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
