Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college coursework including 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• A bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training with 12 credits in related social sciences and one year of paraprofessional case management experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client interviews to understand family needs and assess situations
• Determine and verify eligibility for agency services
• Provide counseling, referrals, and guidance to improve family functioning
• Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and social histories
• Assist families in creating plans to support child well-being
• Attend court hearings and training sessions as assigned
