Job summary

McAlister Institute in San Diego's Recovery Community is seeking an administrative/clerical professional for front-line intake support. You will handle inquiries, schedule intake appointments, and ensure accurate documentation while coordinating with clinical staff.

The role requires at least two years of experience, a qualifying certification, and strong teamwork. This is an on-site position with standard agency requirements and a commitment to service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of administrative/clerical experience, preferably in healthcare or social services.
• Certified or Registered (CAADE, CADTP, or equivalent) required.
• Bachelor's degree in human services field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Compliance with all agency and contract requirements related to trainings, public health, certifications, and reporting.
• Ability to pass all pre-employment screening including background checks and drug test.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• On-site position.

Responsibilities

• Uphold and promote the mission, philosophy, values, and direction of McAlister Institute.
• Provide accurate, detailed information to all phone inquiries in a courteous manner.
• Conduct brief ASAM screenings by phone to assess level of care.
• Offer referrals and warm hand-offs for individuals not meeting criteria.
• Schedule intake appointments and manage intake calendar.
• Complete intake documentation and paperwork accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with LPHA to communicate accurate clinical information face-to-face.
• Perform other duties as needed.
