Job summary

Providence Home Services Oregon is seeking an Intake Specialist who serves as the main access point for Home Health referrals. You will initiate and coordinate referrals, gather payor information, and input data into the EMR, ensuring accuracy for admission.

You will verify patient eligibility with the patient and referral source, schedule admission dates, and represent Providence to customers and patients by promoting Home Health services and products.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Educational coursework in medical terminology, or equivalent educ/experience


• Upon hire: In compliance with the Providence Health and Services-OR Human Resources policy #302 Background Checks, a criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties.


• 2 years of experience in customer service including demonstrated computer proficiency

• Bachelor's Degree


• 1 year of experience in a clinical setting or home services.
