Job summary

Alexander Shunnarah Trial Attorneys is a rapidly growing personal injury firm with offices nationwide. We seek a full-time Intake Advocate (JD welcome) to be the first contact for VIP referral clients, explaining who we are and how we work in clear terms.

You will take prompt calls, guide clients through a brief intake, confirm they intend to move forward, and protect engagement integrity. Remote/hybrid options available to fit your needs.

Qualifications

• J.D. from any accredited U.S. law school.
• Excellent phone presence and communication in stressful moments.
• Flexibility on location: in-person, hybrid, or remote work.

Responsibilities

• Be the first voice VIP referrals hear and guide intake.
• Conduct brief intake calls and present the firm clearly.
• Ensure the client signs only after personal confirmation.
• Support intake team with attorney-level judgment.
• Smooth handoff to intake, case-management, and attorney.
• Maintain warmth, empathy, and professionalism on every call.
• Open to newly licensed attorneys or recent graduates seeking growth.

What You'll Do

• We're hiring a dedicated, full-time Intake Advocate to be the first voice our VIP referral-source clients hear, and a resource to the firm's intake team.This is a client-facing role for anyone with a J.D. from any accredited law school. The people you speak with are already interested in working with us, so your job is to make a great first impression, explain who we are and how we work in plain English, answer their questions honestly, and confirm they want to move forward.
• Be the first point of contact for our VIP referral-source clients, taking their calls promptly so they always reach a real person.
• Run a brief, friendly intake call, usually under ten minutes. Introduce the firm, walk the client through what we do and what comes next, and answer questions clearly and honestly.
• Protect the integrity of every engagement. Clients sign a simple one-page digital agreement, and you confirm you have personally spoken with the named client before the firm countersigns. We never let a client sign blind, and a contract is not valid until the firm countersigns it.
• Serve as a resource to the firm's intake team, lending an attorney's judgment on questions that come up during intake.
• Hand every new matter off cleanly to intake, the case-management team, and the attorney handling the file.
• Bring warmth, empathy, and professionalism to every call. These are people in the middle of a stressful claim, and a great first conversation sets the tone for the whole relationship.
• This is a fantastic first role for either a newly licensed attorney or recent graduate who has not yet passed the bar exam, and is eager to learn, grow, and be part of a dynamic team.

What You Need

• A J.D. from any accredited law school in any U.S. state.
• You will have the option of in-person, hybrid, or full-remote work, so location does not matter.
• Excellent phone presence and people skills. You're warm, quick on your feet, and genuinely good with people in a stressful moment.
• Comfort working at pace, taking intake calls as they come in through the day, with natural peaks in the afternoon and early evening.
• Sound judgment, strong ethical instincts, and the honesty to say when you don't know an answer and go find it.
• Fluency in Spanish is a significant plus. A meaningful share of our intake is Spanish-speaking, and a bilingual attorney who can take those calls directly is enormously valuable.
• Willingness to take your turn in a shared on-call rotation that includes evenings and rotational weekends.

What You Get

Job Type: Full-time, salaried, permanent

Pay: $60,000+

Location: Anywhere. You will have the option of in-person, hybrid, or full-remote work.
