Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services is hiring for an Intake & Admissions Specialist (CCCA) full-time. The role focuses on managing referrals for admissions, screening for appropriateness, and guiding individuals to suitable information and referral services while maintaining admission statistics.
The position requires understanding of state mental health codes for children, strong communication skills, and the ability to work across shifts.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage referrals for admissions, including during day, evening, night, holiday, and weekend shifts. Key duties include screening referrals for appropriateness, offering information and referral services for those who are not eligible or when beds are unavailable, communicating referral details internally, and maintaining referral and admission statistics.
