Int. (5+yrs) Java (Spring, Hibernate) Developer to maintain legacy systems
Location: Remote
Contract Duration: 6-12 months
Looking for a Java Developer (5+years) to contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of legacy applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support modernization efforts.
Technical Must-Haves
- Strong Java (Java 8+, ideally Java 17)
- Spring MVC and Hibernate ORM experience
- REST API integration using Eclipselink
- XML/JSON data handling and Docker usage
- Tomcat server setup and troubleshooting
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance legacy Java applications
- Collaborate with Agile teams and participate in sprints
- Perform unit testing and peer code reviews
- Use Bitbucket and Jira for version control and task tracking
- Support modernization and cloud migration efforts (AWS/Azure)
- Ensure code meets security standards (e.g., OWASP)
