Job summary

AssistRx, Inc. is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to support healthcare providers and payers in verifying coverage and handling prior authorizations.

The role involves navigating payer requirements, documenting benefits, and assisting with appeals to improve patient access to medications. You will work with a collaborative team in a flexible, primarily remote environment with occasional on-site attendance as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of benefit investigation
• 2–3 years interacting with healthcare providers about plan requirements
• Excellent verbal communication and grammar
• Salesforce experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct benefit investigations by contacting payers to verify coverage
• Verify patient benefits and document coverage, cost share, and options
• Identify coverage restrictions and expedite access
• Document and initiate prior authorization and appeals
• Report reimbursement trends or delays to management
• Act as liaison for field reps, providers, and patients
