Insurance Verification Specialist (Remote – Detroit Metro Area)

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Some weekends, holidays, and overtime required

Are you experienced in healthcare administration and ready to take your skills to the next level? We’re looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and professional Insurance Verification Specialist to join our client’s remote team. In this role, you'll support nurses, providers, and patients by ensuring timely and accurate processing of prior authorizations and healthcare requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process incoming and outgoing calls/requests from providers
• Accurately enter and manage data in Care Advance systems
• Collaborate with nurses and team members in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Monitor and manage voicemails, faxes, and department email inboxes
• Respond to inquiries related to prior authorization programs and compliance
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure all documentation meets compliance standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and prior authorization procedures
• Experience in benefits coordination and claims management
• Proficient in healthcare management systems and database software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong phone etiquette and problem-solving abilities
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of 2 or more years of college coursework preferred

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Rotating weekends and holidays as needed
• Occasional overtime required
