Endoscopy Center of South Sacramento is seeking a full-time Insurance Verification Specialist. You will verify patient insurance coverage, coordinate with insurers, and document details in the patient’s record.

This role supports our ambulatory surgery center by ensuring accurate information for claims and pre-authorizations. Work Monday through Friday during daytime hours with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Insurance verification experience in a medical setting is required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and insurance providers.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage by contacting insurance companies through phone, online portals, or other established methods.
• Obtain and document accurate insurance information, including policy numbers, coverage dates, and any pre-authorization requirements.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of insurance verifications for each patient.
• Update electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant databases with verified insurance information.

Endoscopy Center of South Sacramento has an opening for a full-time - Insurance Verification Specialist.

At Endoscopy Center of South Sacramento, we believe health and care are inseparable. We are an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) providing Gastroenterology procedures in a high-quality, service oriented environment.

What You Will Do (Job Summary)

You will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of insurance claims by verifying patient insurance information and coordinating with insurance providers. Verify patient insurance coverage by contacting insurance companies through phone, online portals, or other established methods. Obtain and document accurate insurance information, including policy numbers, coverage dates, and any pre-authorization requirements. Maintain detailed and accurate records of insurance verifications for each patient. Update electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant databases with verified insurance information.

Monday-Friday daytime work schedule

The starting pay range is $25 - $28/hour, depending on experience.
