Job summary

Harbor Healthcare System in Beaumont, TX is seeking a full-time Insurance Verification Coordinator to ensure proper authorizations for visits, procedures, and tests and to determine financial responsibility of patients and insurers.

The role is based in the Beaumont area with standard work hours and comprehensive healthcare benefits, PTO, and holiday pay. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and preferred experience as a Medical Assistant or LVN.

Qualifications

• Up to 1 year of experience in a physician’s practice.
• Medical Assistant or LVN experience preferred.

Job Description:

Ensures the patients have proper authorizations for visits, procedures, and ancillary tests. Determines financial responsibility of patient and insurance provider.

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school degree or general equivalence degree.
• May have one year’s experience in a physician’s practice.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant or a Licensed Vocational Nurse preferred
• Must demonstrate knowledge of appropriate skills for communicating with all ages.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of computers.
