Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of previous experience in insurance verification, authorization, or medical billing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed and accurate benefit information for insurance companies.
• Validate and document payor information in the EMR.
• Reduce write-offs by documenting deductibles, co-pays, and out-of-pocket maximums.
• Monitor authorization processes including initial and reauthorizations.
• Communicate with insurers and internal staff to obtain approvals.
