Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulations, laws, and industry best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments based on incomplete or ambiguous information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word, as well as other relevant software tools.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and assess insurance applications to determine the risk and potential liability associated with each policy.
• Review and analyze policyholder information, including credit reports, claims history, and other relevant data, to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal insurance regulations, as well as company underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including claims, actuarial, and marketing, to provide input on underwriting strategies and policy development.
• Maintain and update underwriting guidelines and procedures to reflect changes in the market and regulatory environment.
• Provide guidance and support to insurance agents and brokers in the underwriting process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our clients.
