Job summary

Progyny seeks a Financial Reporting Manager to drive statutory reporting for the company’s insurance operations, including NAIC filings and regulatory applications. You will own the close process for insurance entities, develop GAAP-to-statutory conversions, and partner with Legal, Compliance, and business teams on regulatory matters.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Accounting and CPA preferred, with 5+ years in insurance accounting or financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Five+ years of progressive experience in insurance accounting or financial reporting.
• Experience preparing and filing NAIC statutory financial statements and related state filings.
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles and NAIC reporting requirements.
• Experience managing reporting across multiple legal entities.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, review, and submission of NAIC statutory financial statements and related filings.
• Own monthly and quarterly close for insurance entities, including actuarial balances and reconciliations.
• Develop GAAP-to-statutory conversions, documentation, and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate regulatory applications, licensing documents, and state filings.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders on regulatory approvals.
• Monitor NAIC guidance and GAAP/regulatory changes and assess impact on reporting.
• Document accounting conclusions with clear memoranda and guidance.
• Support management reporting, board materials, and capital analyses.
• Design scalable processes, controls, and documentation for growth.
• Assist statutory audits and regulatory examinations.
