Job summary

CorroHealth, Inc. in Hawaii is seeking a remote claims resolution specialist to handle complex, high-dollar unpaid/denied claims.

You will leverage our proprietary systems and client portals to resolve issues, identify trends, and perform financial assessments while coordinating with clients to ensure accurate billing. The role requires ~5+ years in registration, billing, and insurance claims resolution, plus EMR experience (Epic/Cerner/Meditech).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years in registration, billing or collections
• 3+ years in insurance claims resolution
• 3+ years of EMR experience (Epic/Cerner/Meditech)
• Knowledge of UB04, EOBs and medical records
• Knowledge of ICD-9/10, CPT and HCPCS coding
• Detail-oriented research skills to resolve complex claims
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex, higher-dollar unpaid/denied claims using proprietary software and carrier portals.
• Identify and report trends in the resolution process (CPT/HCPCS errors, deleted claims, mapping issues).
• Perform financial account assessments including adjustments and patient responsibility processing.
• Maintain familiarity with client preferences and issues across multiple accounts.
• Support special projects for clients as needed.

This position is REMOTE in the Hawaii Time Zone

Required Schedule : Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Hawaii Time Zone

• Resolve complex, higher-dollar unpaid/denied claims by leveraging proprietary software system, making phone calls, generating letters, accessing client systems and insurance carrier web portals in the pursuit of getting a claim resolved.
• Identify and report trends found during the account resolution process such as CPT/HCPCS errors/deletions, duplicate claims, revenue code mapping mismatches, missing charges, no claim on file.
• Perform financial account assessment functions including but not limited to adjustments and NRP to patient. Perform administrative functions including but not limited to medical record submissions, billing claims, patient assistance outreach, obtaining documents from client systems and insurance plan code updates, review corrected claim requests and approve for client assistance or correct the bill within client platform, review and submit payment verification assistance requests.
• Maintain familiarity with client preferences and known issues across multiple client accounts.
• Support special projects for clients as needed.

• ~5+ years relevant industry experience in registration, billing, collections, required
• ~3+ years experience with insurance carrier claims resolution, required
• ~3+years of Epic, Cerner, Meditech or other EMR experience preferred
• ~ Knowledge of UB04 claim forms, EOB’s and medical records required
• ~ ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding knowledge required
• ~ Ability to conduct detailed research to resolve complex claims
• ~ Advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point
• ~ Ability to compile and summarize data
• ~ Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents, contracts, notes, and other correspondence
• ~ Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
